“What an amazing, spacious and comfortable cottage! Beautiful bathrooms and comfy beds too. Thank you very much for the welcome basket, a lovely touch! We have packed so much in these few days – a visit to Barnard Castle, High Force waterfall (just as beautiful in the rain!), Brimham Rocks and Beamish Museum. The children loved the local playground, and the meal at the Fox and Hounds was delightful. The pub next door [The Red Lion], excellent and traditional – very cosy indeed! The place is fantastic for walks – we managed to walk to Bowes Museum – we all had rosy cheeks by the end! We also did a longer excursion to Beamish – in costumes… The castle was great in Barnard Castle, so we had a Wonderful Holiday”
